NEWS:  Skyplex Orlando Receives FAA Approval

It is the Orlando project that we all thought was "scrapped" due to many delays since it was first announced in 2014...but it seems as though Skyplex may be coming to Orlando after all...

Yesterday, the FAA approved a 706-foot plan for Skyplex. The $500 million amusement tower will have the tallest roller coaster in the world, and is being built by Miami developer Joshua Wallack (owner and operator of the famous Mango's Tropical Cafe on International Drive).

Skyplex will be located on a 14 acre-lot at the Northeast corner of Sand Lake Road and International Drive in Orlando, Florida. The complex will include a 570 feet (170 m) tower, which will feature the world's tallest roller coaster, Skyscraper, world's tallest drop tower, and the world's largest Perkins Restaurant and Bakery.

No opening date has yet been announced.
